The convent of San Salvador

At the foot of the mountains of Santa Barbara, two kilometers from the village, there is the Convent of Our Lady of the Angels, now known as the Convent of San Salvador de Horta.

In 1985 the entire mountain and convent were declared Historic-Artistic Monument. The foundation of the church dates back the time of the Knights Templar and the set consists of a group of buildings of different chronologies (XIII-XVII) arranged around a Renaissance cloister.

We offer our clients the option of the climb to the top of the mountain with a spectacular view and then a guided tour of the architectural ensemble of the monastery.
